The CD-S303RK is a rack-mountable CD player with convenient functions that can be used in a wide range of facilities such as events and stores.

As the successor to the CD-S300RK, a rack-mountable CD player that has been well received, the CD-S303RK can play MP3 and WMA data from USB flash drives and CD-R/RW, and has newly added the ability to play LPCM, AAC, and FLAC format data.

The CD-S300RK also continues to offer convenient features of the CD-S300RK, such as "play mode memory," a function used in stores and commercial facilities to retain playback mode even when the power is turned off, and "ready mode," which pauses background music playback at the end of each song during events, making it ideal for events and stores.

Pure Direct

The CD-S303RK is equipped with the "Pure Direct" function, which is available on Yamaha AV amplifiers and AV receivers. Pressing the "Pure Direct" button on the front panel or on the remote control turns off the digital output circuit as well as the display. This operation minimizes noise interference and provides higher quality analog audio output.

High-quality sound design with attention to detail

We focused on designing the layout of parts and boards that affect sound quality, and thoroughly eliminated mutual signal interference by separating the power supply from the motor drive, display, USB port, and digital/analog circuits. In addition, the drive mechanism is located in the center of the unit to ensure ideal load balance for stable performance.

◆Minimization of audio signal paths

The logical and symmetrical internal layout of parts and circuit boards has realized the shortest signal paths on each board. By linearly shortening the path between each section, the possibility of audio signal loss and interference is minimized.

◆Combination of high-quality parts

We focused on the selection and matching of parts and materials, one of the factors that determine the sound quality of a CD player, to achieve high sound quality, including acoustic capacitors, operational amplifiers, and vibration-damping materials, to achieve the same quality as higher-end models.

◆High-performance D/A converter

The high performance Burr Brown high-precision DAC compatible with 192kHz/24bit, which has an established reputation for HiFi audio, delivers excellent D/A conversion performance, signal-to-noise ratio, and dynamic range.

◆Floating mechanism of the laser pickup

The laser pickup has a floating structure that enables delicate operation without being affected by vibration.

◆Intelligent digital servo circuit

Conventional tracking servo circuits could not completely overcome errors caused by disc warping and dust. The problem is solved by using a highly reliable CD-specific DSP (Digital Signal Processor) to determine the disc condition and adjust the tracking and focus of the pickups and the spindle motor speed.

◆MP3, WMA, LPCM, AAC, FLAC file playback via USB flash drive

With a USB port on the front panel, digital music files in MP3, WMA, LPCM, AAC, and FLAC formats stored on a USB memory device can be easily played back with high sound quality. Files recorded on CD-R/RW discs can also be played back.

◆3-mode CD text display

The 3-mode CD text display shows the title of the CD, the name of the artist, and the title of the track.

◆Programmed playback (audio CD)

The user can easily register songs to be played in any order and erase the registered song order with a one-touch operation.
