A. CASTAIGNE Lithograph Marines Bombardment Vera Cruz 1847 Mexican American War. This is a very nice original lithograph produced in 1893 depicting the Bombardment of Vera Cruz in 1847 during the Mexican-American War. It appears to have been framed at one point due to the coloration on the paper. It is made of a heavy paper material and does show signs of its age on the edges. It has the seal of the Army and Navy of the United States stamped into the left side that is visible when held to light or closely inspected. This print measures 19 inches across and 13 inches tall.
