The VTH Series or ‘Hardwood’ series is the second tier in our range and is crafted from high quality, hand selected all-solid hardwood timbers for both the back and sides and the soundboard.
We scour the country side looking for the very best sets we can find suitable for the quality of our guitars and work closely with those whom supply us to ensure we get the very best AA grade sets available.
There are many suitable timbers which could be utilised for this series however we mostly utilise Australia Blackwood which is comparable to mahogany featuring a strong midrange focus which is clear and warm with stunning bright trebles and a richness comparable to that of Indian Rosewood. We also utilise New Guinea Rosewood for its broad ranging tonal profile which is also warm, clear and focused but with a slightly stronger bass than Blackwood.
Our unique Grand Auditorium size guitar features the same sweeter and more modern blend of curves as our Auditorium guitar but with a slightly larger footprint unlocking even greater tonal possibilities across our series. This model is meticulously voiced to produce guitars that have gained a reputation for a balanced blend of warmth, clarity and sustain while producing a bold bass response with a well-defined midrange! It's an everything guitar for the everyday player/ singer songwriter.
