Mooer / The Wahter

Not anymore, because now there is Mooer The Wahter.

The development of The Wahter was always done with the question of wah pedals in mind.

The Wahter combines the rich harmonics and voice-like sweeps of a traditional classic wah pedal with added ease of use and convenience.

Mooer's original pressure-sensitive sensor switch turns the wah on and off simply by placing your foot on the pedal. And for players who love the classic style of playing, the pedal can be set to turn on and off with the foot on the pedal.

Ultra-compact size, equivalent to a mini-sized pedal. The pedal ring can be operated as it is, or by unfolding the pedal ring, the size of the pedal section can be expanded to achieve higher operability.

The foldable pedal ring makes it possible to reduce the size of the pedal ring to an ultra-compact size when moving, and to increase only the size of the pedal section when playing.

Setup

Connect the instrument cable to the input of The Wahter.

Connect the cables to your amp or other effector to The Wahter's outputs.

Put your foot on the pedal (sensor mode) to activate the Wah effect. The higher you press the pedal, the stronger the high frequencies become, and the lower you press it back, the stronger the low frequencies become. In sensor mode, you can instantly compare the wah sound with the effect off by placing or removing your foot on the pedal.

The pedal ring can be expanded to suit the user's playing style and preferences. From the smallest size with the ring folded down, you can choose the operation that best suits your preference by unfolding the ring on the back side only, on the front side only, or on both the front and back sides.

Three modes

The Wahter has three modes.

Sensor Mode: Just placing your foot on the pedal turns on the effect, and removing your foot causes the pedal to go into true bypass mode.

Hold Mode: Tap the pedal's sensor twice to turn the wah on and off. This mode is close to the classic style operation and is also useful when using the pedal as a half-stopped wah because you can leave your foot off while the effect is still on.

Advanced Mode: This mode allows you to switch between sensor mode and hold mode by tapping the sensor twice. This mode can be used both as a sensor mode and as a hold mode, such as half-hold.

Mode Switching

To switch between the three modes of The Wahter, the pedal is returned to the front (heel down/toe up) and the adapter is plugged in while the sensor on the front side is depressed. In this state, the mode will change each time the power is turned on again. When the power is turned on, the mode is indicated by the number of times the LED blinks.

Sensor Mode: LED blinks once.

Hold Mode: LED blinks twice

Advanced Mod: LED blinks 3 times.

The mode set here will be memorized even after the power is turned off. If the power is turned on without placing your foot on the pedal, the pedal will continue to operate in the mode set here.
