The Canucks won the first game 3-2. Scores were recorded by Steve Larmer (NYR) in the 1st period; Bret Hedican (VAN), Alex Kovalev (NYR), and Martin Gelinas (VAN) in the 2nd period, and Greg Adams (VAN) in the 3rd period.
Game two was claimed by the Rangers 3-1. Scores were recorded by Doug Lidster (NYR) and Sergio Momesso (VAN) in the 1st period; Glenn Anderson (NYR) in the 2nd period; and Brian Leetch (NYR) in the 3rd period.
Game three was won by the Rangers 5-1. Scores were recorded by Pavel Bure (VAN), Leetch (NYR), and Anderson (NYR) in the 1st period; Leetch (NYR) in the 2nd period; and Larmer (NYR) and Kovalev (NYR) in the 3rd period.
The Rangers won the fourth game 4-2. Scores were recorded by Trevor Linden (VAN) and Cliff Ronning (VAN) in the 1st period; Leetch (NYR) and Sergei Zubov (NYR) in the 2nd period; and Kovalev (NYR) and Larmer (NYR) in the 3rd period.
The Canucks dominated game five 6-3. Scores were recorded by Jeff Brown (VAN) in the 2nd period; and the Canuck's Geoff Courtnall, Bure, and Dave Babych, as well as the Ranger's Lidster, Larmer, and Mark Messier in the 3rd period.
Game six is won by the Canucks 4-1 with scores by Brown (VAN) in the 1st period; Courtnall (VAN) and Kovalev (NYR) in the 2nd period; and Brown (VAN) and Courtnall (VAN) in the 3rd period.
The Rangers claimed victory in the finale with a score of 3-2. Scores were recorded by the Ranger's Leetch and Graves in the 1st period; Linden (VAN) and Messier (NYR) in the 2nd period; and Linden (VAN) in the 3rd period.
