A lovely and highly decorative continental black fabric bonnet with metallic foil strips, inset glass faux gemstones, and stringed pearl beads; early 19th century. Overall, it is in good condition for age with surface wear, some separation between seams, loss to hanging straps, scattered losses to glass and beads, patina, etc. Please see all photos for details.
