"Newcastle upon Tyne."

A detailed Town Plan of Newcastle at a scale of 2 inches to 1 mile. It was drawn up as part of a government report by RK Dawson. His facsimile signature can be seen. The relevant 3 pages of the report dealing with Newcastle are also included. Together they give an interesting description of the area as it was c1830.

The report was part of a nationwide survey that resulted in the Reform Act of 1832. It was compiled in 1831.

The map has original handcolouring. It would frame up nicely.

Size: the map sheet measures 31cms x 28cms. 

Condition: Fold as issued. Brown mark bottom right, and a little off-setting, but generally this is in a good condition. So too the text. Please study the photographs.
