Description

The "D-41" was designed by Mike Longworth, a publicist and researcher for the Martin Corporation, and production began in 1969. It was born out of the demand for a D-28 to add a decorative touch to the D-45, which were few in number and expensive. This instrument is a USED model made in 1972. German spruce spruce top, Indian rosewood sides & back, ebony fingerboard & bridge, original USA GROVER gold pegs, Avalon inlay rosette & trim, D-41 style hexagon fingerboard position, vertical head logo, square rod, Non-scalloped X-bracing, M-Factory pickup system installed as a retrofit. A strap pin is mounted on the heelside of the neck, and the pickguard has been replaced with a painted black pickguard that is close to the look and feel of the period. This model uses German spruce for the top wood, which was used from the first release in 1969 until 1974. The trim and inlays are solid Avalon. The 40's were very popular during the folk boom as a symbol of longing for a folk instrument. The 40s were very popular as a symbol of longing during the folk boom, but many people could not afford them because they were very expensive as imported instruments. The glamorous appearance and elegant sound of the 40th, however, may have left some of you looking for a chance to own a Martin someday. The thick and sweet rise with a hint of stickiness is a sensation that can only be experienced with German spruce tops, and it sets it apart from the Sitka spruce of later years. The non-scalloped X bracing and SQ rod, which were mentioned in the previous article, give it a strong core and a thick tone. It tends to have a slightly mellow sound, but the way the sound stands up when picking near the bridge and the thick, clear core sound is a charm that can only be experienced with the 70s. Whether you play it in a relaxed tune or in a folky tone, you can experience the goodness of the 70s Martin. The dual pickup system of Sunrise S-2 magnets and contact pickups is connected to an external preamp via a dedicated terminal. The Sunrise S-2 magnet and contact pickups are connected to an external dedicated preamp via a dedicated terminal. The magnet pickup produces a thick string tone with a sense of push, while the contact pickup produces a delicate string sound and an airy tone of the body. The tuning of the instrument is done exclusively for each individual instrument, with no compromises allowed. It is very nice that this alone is sufficient for sound creation, as it can output a stable sound that is not easily affected by the power supply voltage, the mix ratio can be finely adjusted, and it is equipped with an EQ. The controller allows variable control of output from a powerful sound with a high magnet ratio to a delicate, airy sound with more contact. It is no wonder that this system has been used by professionals, and can be said to be the pinnacle of quality. There is a pickguard crack mark along the pickguard between the bridge and the soundhole, but this has now been fixed and can be played without any problem. The sides of the body have a crumbly feel to them from the case, but this does not detract from the texture and is in good condition for use. The top of the body has some scratches on the side of the fingerboard where the paint is peeling, and there are some scratches on the top, sides, and neck, as well as some scratches on the buckle of the body back. The neck condition is also in good condition, and the guitar is ready to play. This is a German 40 with the practical M-Factory system. While German-top 45s are hard to come by, the 41 is a viable alternative. It comes with the original hard case of the period, the Martin Blue case.
