Found that driver S/N # 553891L has still poor but markedly improved pistonic cone travel as compared to S/N # 553890L.
Suspect may have same issue as with S/N # 553890L.
Again has the same problem with excursion beyond design and operating limits due to deterioation of surround materials
being these are known to fail.
LF/MF and HF DMM readings for respective voice coils consistent with design parameters and not o/c.
Issue with suspension for drive unit (spider appears good) as has become friable/cracked/failed.
Option to replace for drive unit per;

Why?
The manufacturer data for the drive cone surround refer to use of nitrile rubber and nitrile
butadiene rubber respectively. Yet, the seller refers to kit as foam.
Exercise caution prior to prospective purchase. Check and double check!
