Welcome to this tropical island themed rag quilt handcrafted by me in The Quarantined Sewing Closet!
I used a beige, brown and tan Hawaiian cotton print, added a brown "embossed" floral cotton, then added a tonal tan cotton with a little shimmer to it! This quilt just reminds me of walking the beach at Waikiki! I used a beige flannel for the middle of the quilt, and the back of the quilt I used a brown Hawaiin cotton print and a beige sandy cotton print with footprints in the sand!
This beauty measure 50" x 64", a nice size throw for a day at the beach, a picnic in the park, or on a chilly summer evening.
The quilt has been laundered once to start the ragging process. Rag quilts are easy to care for.....just toss in the washed with cool water, your favorite detergent, then toss in the dryer on a medium heat.
You will want to launder the quilt by itself for the first few washing as it will continue to "shed" until the ragging process is complete.
