Catalinbread Fuzzrite / Fuzzrite Germanium is,

Fuzz pedal that recreates the ferocious garage fuzz of yesteryear.

From 1966 to 1968, the Fuzzrite company manufactured

Fuzz pedals came in two different circuit versions.

Of the two, the version using germanium transistors is by far the rarest,

Ed Sanner, who designed the original pedal, estimates that only about 250 were shipped.

The silicon transistor version was later replaced by a silicon transistor version.

Iron Butterfly's "In-A-Gada-Da-Vida",

Incence and Peppermints" in the Strawberry Alarm Clock is a Fuzzrite

Fuzzrite" by Mosrite,

These were specifically recorded before the change to the silicon version.

Catalinbread took the opportunity to freely use this germanium version,

We took the opportunity to use the germanium version at our disposal, and while using it as a benchmark, we also added a modern mode to reproduce this sound.

It faithfully reproduces the circuitry of the 60's, splat and raw,

The depth control allows for gain and brightness.

The Depth control adds gain and brightness,

The volume knob adjusts the overall volume.

The v/m switch allows you to select modern mode,

The v/m switch enhances the low end to suit modern rigs.

The gain can also be controlled with the volume control on the guitar side,

Increasing the Depth will bring out a dense "that sound".

The dark, clear, and beautiful tone when the Depth is turned down is also attractive.

The sound when the Depth is lowered and the sound when the Depth is raised and the guitar volume is lowered are also different,

Although it is a simple pedal with only two knobs,

Although it is a simple pedal with only two knobs, it is a fuzz pedal that shows various expressions depending on picking, playing style, settings, etc. It is also effective when used on bass.

It is also effective when used with a bass guitar.

By using a polar inverter IC,

The same NOS PNP germanium semiconductor as the original can be driven by a standard power supply.
