Robert Kaufman - Leonardo da Vinci - 40.5" x 49.5" The Mona Lisa Panel Quilt Kit (includes fabric for top of quilt & binding) - AAFQK-511The Mona Lisa is a half-length portrait of a woman by Leonardo da Vinci which was completed between 1503 and 1506.  Mona Lisa is perhaps the most famous painting of all time and was painted by Italian Renaissance artist, Leonardo da Vinci. The Mona Lisa painting was something that artist Leonardo da Vinci worked on for many years, constantly tweaking elements of it to an almost obsessive level that is rarely seen within today's art scene. It seems that the Mona Lisa was a work which held great importance to the artist which caused his to constantly seek slight alterations in order to exactly capture the look that he wanted within the portrait.The kit contains a FREE copy of the Bricks pattern/instructions designed by Ariga Mahmoudlou for Robert Kaufman Fabrics along with enough fabric to complete the quilt top and edge binding as pictured.  Backing fabric and batting will need to be purchased separately. The overall finished size of this quilt as pictured is 40.5" x 49.5". Skill Level:  BeginnerPictures 2 thru 4 show the actual fabrics included in this kit.  Fabric shown in picture 4 is also used for the binding.  This kit includes all the fabrics required for the wall quilt shown in the first picture excluding the backing.  Fabrics are from the Leonardo da Vinci collection by Robert Kaufman Fabrics.  There are no substituted fabrics in this kit.  2-3/4 yards of fabric is recommended for the backing assuming a 44/45" width.  This assumes a directional backing fabric is used.  If using a non-directional backing material, less fabric is needed for your backing!  Batting will also need to be purchased separately.This item qualifies for FREE "domestic" priority mail shipping.  Other shipping options and international rates are available at check out.
