Instant guitar performance delivery

The Gigcaster 8 is equipped with a dedicated channel for direct guitar/bass connection.

This channel is equipped with a number of amps and effects derived from BOSS's flagship GT-1000 model.

With 100 preset patches, you can connect a guitar and instantly start broadcasting your performance.

Up to 200 user-created patches can be stored. A tuner, essential for performance, is also built into the main unit.

The optional GA-FC, footswitch, and expression pedal can be connected to control sound switching and backing track playback/stop at the foot of the guitar.

Four versatile combo jacks

Four combo jacks on the rear panel allow connection of various instruments, including condenser mics.

Microphone preamplifiers with up to +70dB input are provided for low-noise, clear audio delivery with any microphone.

In addition, built-in effects are available on each channel.

When delivering vocals, the various vocal effects that BOSS has developed for the VE series can be used to enhance voice quality and add harmony.

For conversational delivery, the sound can be adjusted for ease of listening, and voice changer effects such as RADIO Voice and Lo-Fi can be used to change the character of the spoken voice.

Since keyboards and other instruments can be connected to each terminal, multiple people can gather for a session while conversing. The system can accommodate a variety of delivery styles.

With its versatile mixer functionality, Gigcaster 8 integrates and controls all audio around your desk.

The Gigcaster 8 has eight channels, including four for microphones and instruments, Bluetooth, mobile devices, sound pads, and USB. Various sources can be aggregated and mixed.

The multi-track USB audio function allows each channel and the mixed audio to be sent to a PC for performance distribution, recording on a DAW, or online conferencing.

Since each channel is recognized as an independent device on the PC, it is possible to specify which channel to use for each software. The audio played by each software can be sent to the Gigcaster 8 channel, allowing the mix to be controlled by the main unit.

The Gigcaster 8 supports wired connection to smartphones and Bluetooth playback of background music, which is indispensable for streaming.

Using the device's call function, the remote guest's voice can also be mixed.

A ducking function automatically lowers the volume of the background music when a conversation begins, eliminating the need for adjustment.

Eight pads can be used to play jingles and sound effects built into the device. Using the dedicated application, you can also replace them with your own audio material.

In addition, eight pads, each with a different audio source, volume, and playback method, can be stored in eight banks of eight pads and their combinations, for a total of 64 functions accessible.

The Gigcaster 8 provides a smooth workflow by allowing the user to complete all necessary settings for distribution using only the unit itself.

The Gigcaster 8 features eight input channels and an output channel that controls the overall volume, each with its own fader for intuitive volume control.

A brightly colored touch display shows level meters for all channels, including outputs, on a single screen, making it easy to properly manage levels.

The display also provides access to a variety of built-in effects, including a noise suppressor and de-esser, to further refine your sound.

Best Customization

The Gigcaster 8's high degree of customizability allows you to tailor the setup to best suit your delivery style.

The eight pads not only play audio, but can also be set to any function by switching modes.

Up to four functions can be controlled simultaneously, such as turning guitar/vocal effects on/off or switching patches.

Since any MIDI CC can be sent via USB, settings can be made to match the software on the PC side, expanding the range of applications, such as switching the video source to be transmitted by triggering the pad operation.

The same functions can also be assigned to an optional external footswitch, so you can control the unit with your feet.

Convenient Recording Functions

The Gigcaster 8 supports 48 kHz/32-bit recording.

It can be used not only as an audio interface, but also for recording of distributed sound to a microSD card connected to the main unit.

A dedicated recording button is provided so that recording can be started and paused immediately without hesitation.

The recording method can be selected according to the application, and in addition to the usual two-mix recording, multi-track recording is also supported.

When multitrack recording is used, you can use the mark button to mark the part you are interested in during the recording.

By marking the part changes or the part to be cut, later editing can be done more efficiently.

The file extension and sound quality of recorded files can be easily converted from the dedicated application, which is useful when publishing the files as an archive at a later date.
