This DAS Buckeye run is not to be confused with any of the other Buckeye runs from both JABO and DAS. This happens to be a VERY familiar name for some reason, so make sure to keep the manufacture date handy along with this marble to make sure to avoid any confusion. Not that these runs with the same name look similar to each other, but if you are a stickler like I am with collecting, it will drive me crazy if I cross reference the wrong run accidently. This Buckeye run has some very cool families that have been named by one of our industry experts (Matthew, you know who you are :-)). Some of the creative names include Oxblood Blue Egg Yolk AKA Superman Shredded, Wonder Woman (Look for Gold Lassos), Limoncello, Pink Cranberries, Blue Cranberries, Oxblood Egg Yolk Aventurines, and Cranberry Sherbet, Iceballs and more. I may be putting some of these up for sale in the near future, so keep your eyes peeled.
This Shredded Superman marble is a prime example of this family with the classic colors. There's a small twist with the blue shade being closer to a baby blue, but this just adds to the interest. For me, I might call this a SuperBoy instead because it reminds me of a younger Superman. In any case, this is a great marble.
I try my best to take high resolution pictures with flash to show exactly what you are getting. I try to rotate the marble to give multiple views. This marble was manufactured using the 3/4" machine and the size of this particular marble is 0.698" in diameter measured with electronic calipers. Note: this marble is slightly smaller than those normally found rolling off the 3/4" machines. It is much bigger than a peewee of course, but it might be a bit smaller than what you are used to...it is always my policy to disclose anything that might cause any misunderstanding prior to the sale. I always provide the true diameter of every single marble I sell, but sometimes folks don't read all the way to the end of the description. Thanks for doing exactly that.
