These transistors have double the maximum power dissipation of many small general purpose transistors as 625mW and are therefore a good choice to replace the output transistor driver stages in many audio amplifiers, but with a gain of at least 100 are also very useful devices for amplification stages etc. Note that we also stock the NPN complementary 2N3904, see our store for details.

Viewed from the underside with the flat to the bottom, the pinout is left pin Collector, middle pin Base, right pin Emitter. This transistor can handle up to 200mA collector current at 40V.
