If you have a Kodak Slide Projector (Carousel 6XX, 7XX, 8XX Series or Ektagraphic AE, AF, B or E Model) which works OK except the slides do not change ("ADVANCE") when either the FORWARD or REVERSE button is pressed on the projector or remote control, then you probably have a defective solenoid link, a somewhat common problem with these projectors.

This Solenoid Link Replacement Kit contains all you need to restore your projector to proper health. The kit includes the necessary repair parts and step-by-step instructions for disassembly, replacement link installation, reassembly, and adjustment.

The complete Kit sells for $16.00 which is a fraction of the price that a camera repair facility charges to perform the repair. (To repair additional projectors, you'll just need additional parts packets at $6.00 each.) When ordering, be sure to let me know which model Kodak projector(s) you'll be repairing.

This Kit is appropriate for manual focus projectors (Carousel 650, 650H, 700 & Ektagraphic B, E2) If your projector has a different model number with the autofocus or remote focus control feature, you should consider replacing the focus motor WORM GEAR and its meshing SPUR GEAR. These gears are generally made from the same polymer material as the solenoid link and usually fail about the same time. Also, by replacing the SPUR GEAR, the time (and disassembly effort) required to replace the solenoid link are considerably reduced. See my other ebay auction for my ADVANCE Repair Kit -  autofocus & remote focus - ATK.

This repair job is not for the mechanically impaired! If you have problems assembling a child's bicycle or putting together your gas grill, this procedure which involves some disassembly and small parts handling and positioning may not be for you. Instead, you can see my other ebay listing for Carousel MAIL-IN Repair Service.

On the other hand, if you enjoy bent nail puzzles and have rebuilt a carburetor, you can successfully undertake this repair by following the detailed, step-by-step procedures illustrated with color pictures. For tools, you'll need a medium size Phillips screwdriver, small and medium flat blade screwdrivers, a ¼" nutdriver, long nose pliers, a ¼" open end wrench and a metal file.

Sometimes problems are encountered during the repair that could benefit from technical assistance.  Such assistance is provided, as required, for no additional cost.

There's also the "Plan B" OPTION: You can use my Carousel MAIL-IN Repair Service (see ebay ad) and return this Kit as a payment credit.
