Advisory: The barrel nut is extremely difficult to unscrew on this tool and requires special tooling. If you don't have it and attempt the removal of the nut you will likely not succeed without possibly damaging the tool housing.

SERVICE NOTES: This throttle valve / trigger valve kit works to repair an air hammer that won't shut off when the trigger is released or passes air when the trigger is released. I provide the trigger valve spring, trigger valve, valve seat and required o'rings in this offering.
If the actual air hammer performance is weak or erratic then my barrel valve kit is provided in another eBay listing to address that issue. If you buy that item make sure the finish on the piston is hand polished and smooth when disassembly occurs. A polished dry piston should float back and forth in the barrel without sticking. The Snap On PH3050A & PH3050BR barrel valve kit has both halves and the flutter disc. My kit provides phenolic material which is better for the long term life of the valve halves. If you find any broken pins forget ordering them from Snap On. Measure their dimensions with a digital caliper. Go to a hardware store and buy drill bits to make new ones out of. This works and is better material than the pins were originally made from by Snap On.
