The D-35 is relatively new in the Martin Standard series, having been created around 1966.

The purpose was to save wood, but as a result, it has become one of Martin's representative models with a unique personality.

In addition to the unique 3-piece back, the bracing is slightly thinner than the D-28, giving it a moist and calming sound.

Furthermore, there are specifications unique to this model such as white binding on the neck.

In Japan, it rose to fame with the folk song boom.

This individual is a 2020 product of such D-35.

The top is made of very fine-grained spruce, and the back has a dark contrast in the middle and light contrast on the left and right sides, creating a very beautiful color suitable for a 3-piece back.

In addition, black ebony, which has become extremely valuable in recent years, is used for the fingerboard and bridge.

There are small scratches on the entire body, dents on the 1st string peg side of the head, and a few paint cracks on the back near the neck heel.

The neck is almost straight with no distortion, and the truss rod has plenty of room and works well.

There is almost no wear on the frets.

The string height is approximately 2.7mm on the 6th string side and 2.0mm on the 1st string side, making it easy to play.

There is still plenty of room for the saddle height, so you can adjust it to your preferred string height.

In addition, there is a slight crack at the bottom hinge of the original hard case that comes with it.

Currently, there are no problems with normal use.

In terms of sound, it has the softness typical of a 35, but especially contains a lot of bass.
