I have the pleasure of offering one of the most complete Timely/Atlas collections to enter the market.  Dr. Tom Lammers has amassed nearly every comic produced by Martin Goodman since 1950 until the mid 1960's, with many more prior to that. This is a process that will take several years to finish with new auctions coming out each week. I will be offering several different titles each week trying not to inundate the market with twenty issues of the same title at one time. The initial offerings will be mostly Golden Age superhero and horror books, but I am going to include some other types as well. Eventually there will be every genre offered from funny animal to westerns to romance. Atlas produced some of the finest comics during this era and I expect to see quite a bit of competition for some of these books. I will also be designating the Lammers books with TGL in the title since I will continue to sell my inventory on ebay as well. I hope you enjoy seeing these books as much as I have.

This auction is for Combat Kelly No. 29 from Sphere Publications, Inc. (Timely/Atlas/Marvel) from February 1955.  Combat Kelly was a long-running title for Atlas and only ended due to the Atlas Implosion of 1957 and the stringent limitations imposed on Martin Goodman's comic book line.  This series was revived in 1972 as Combat Kelly and the Deadly Dozen and was most famous for its anti-war stance in that all of the Deadly Dozen are killed except for Combat Kelly who vows not to fight again.  This has a Joe Maneely cover and all interior art by Dave Berg.  (All credit info per the GCD.)

This issue grades at Very Good.  Large crease on bottom right hand corner of front cover.  Spine stress.  Marking on "C" of Combat.  Back cover has abrasion.  Other defects associated with grade.  Pages are white and supple.  Book has great color and gloss.  This is a good book to add to your collection.  Check out large scans for your determination of grade.

Pricing on all books will be a mix between ebay sales, Overstreet Price Guide and CGC GPA.  Overstreet lists book at 30.00 in Very Good.   My starting price should reflect the lower end value of this book.

I have been selling on ebay for over twenty years and have always maintained 100% feedback. I will ship either first class or media whichever is cheaper. Other shipping can be arranged but buyer will have to pay the difference. Foreign orders are OK with sufficient positive feedback. Postage for foreign orders will be higher and may not be reflected in the automatic billing by ebay, so please do not pay until you receive invoice created by me. Returns are accepted only if there was a defect not listed in the description. No returns accepted because of buyer's remorse so please bid accordingly. I will combine shipping but there will be a minimum fifty cents per additional auction up to a total of ten auctions. All books will be packaged safely and securely. Packages will be shipped within twenty-four hours after receiving payment. Check out my other auctions for other great books.
