*Doll HAT / Child Bonnet True Antique Early 1900 for Antique French, German

True Antique Child's Bonnet /Hat, dating to the period between 1895 and 1900. Ideal for display on Antique French or German Dolls, or reproductions of same. Nice display piece for antique clothing collector or museum. Good condition, over 120 years old, carefully preserved. Brim and crown fashioned from very fine shiny straw or straw like material, while the body of the bonnet is made from heavier woven cotton.
Overall color is peachy pink. Brim accented with tightly ruffled chiffon and gros grain ribbon, having tiny silk rosettes. The crown is covered with chiffon (breaking down from extreme age - see photos). There are darker marks on the front of the bonnet, also age related. This is a rare little bonnet, resembling that depicted on some of the Kate Greenaway figures. Shown in photos modeled on a 32" antique doll, with head which measures 20" around including thick wig.
