Guitar 3/4 or 7/8, 7 strings, master unknown, Russia, mid-19th century
The guitar is an excellent basis for restoration.
The guitar sounds great, the label is missing.
The guitar was brought from St. Petersburg in the 70s of the 20th century.
The total length of the guitar is 94.2 cm; Guitar body length 45.2 cm; Guitar depth (side) 8.2 cm;
The width of the neck at the top is 4.6 cm.
Materials: soundboard - fine-grained Russian spruce, body - Brazilian rosewood, neck - mahogany, fingerboard - ebony, bridge - rosewood, frets - silver.
Along the perimeter and around the resonator there are inlays with tropical mother of pearl and various types of wood. The back of the guitar has inlay in the middle and bottom. Under the heel of the neck on the body of the guitar is the inscription “Schultz” - perhaps this is the name of the master.
There are original mechanics of excellent quality.
The neck of the guitar is attached to the body with a special screw -
This fastening allows you to adjust the height of the strings relative to the plane of the neck, convenient for the performer.
That a unique vintage guitar, in addition to its external beauty, has a unique sound. The sound is refined and nuanced.
A guitar can become an adornment of the most exquisite collection!
Its sound and timbre are an echo of past centuries.
The guitar sounds good with both metal and nylon strings (but I recommend high or medium tension nylon strings).
Recommended for professionals and collectors.
The guitar can be either 7-string or 6-string.
The guitar is sold without a case; A soft case is available upon customer request.
