A impressive antique carved wood lions head mount from a carousel, last quarter of the 19th century. It is well executed and presents nicely. Overall it is in good condition for age with heavy patina/missing paint, scattered bumps/nicks, a few scattered losses to carving at edges, general surface wear from handling, etc. The top part of the head is connected to the rest of the face with a couple nails. It has some play but is sturdy. Please see all photos for condition. This will be a Great Wall hanger in any room!
