This buttstock (Butt) is from a 1916 No1 Mklll* Lee Enfield .303 Rifle.

The wood is un-restored condition and so has minor scratches and dents.

The butt has the original screw (to screw onto rifle), original brass butt plate and still has the brass identification disc (missing screw) as well as it's original swivel.

The brass butt plates lid opens without any issues.

History of this buttstock.
I have owned the original rifle since the late 1990's. It was originally sent to Australia as part of an agreement during WW1 to assist in building up arms in Australia. The rifle was in military stores during WW1 and was also in use in Australia during WW2. It was later sold after WW2 as surplus to farmers / hunters and collectors.

The butt has several stamp markings in the wood (pictured) and what appears to be a square shape marked on one side (might have been an identifier plate from a club not sure though).

The stock will be shipped free Australia wide and sent with Australia post tracking details.

The Brass identifying disc is original and has the Government cross foot stamped on the back. The screw that holds it in place is missing and not broken off.
