Scarce George V WWI era British Pattern 1912 cavalry officer's sword with in the original leather scabbard. Nicely etched straight blade is maker marked by J.R. Gaunt & Son, London & Birmingham. The blade and steel bowl guard have some bruised and patinated spots and would benefit from gentle cleaning. The blade spine is numbered 14077. Shagreen covered wooden grip is in good condition with wire wrap missing. Field scabbard is in very good condition and comes with the original Sam Browne leather frog. Good condition overall.
