An engraving taken from Fontaine’s Fables with the accompanying fable in English verse. The engraving would look wonderful framed, and the fable in verse makes it a lovely present putting the Doré engraving into context.
The pages measure approximately 31cm by 24cm (12 inches by 9.5 inches). The actual illustration measures approximately 24cm by 19cm (9.5 inches by 7.5 inches).
Condition: This engraving is in very good vintage condition, there is some minor evidence of reading wear and tanning to the pages due to age. The pages are rough edged where they have been removed from the binding. The pages pictured below are the ones you will receive.
