Description

The 000-28EC is one of the most popular and best-selling Martin guitars of all time. In the 1990s, this extremely popular Martin model sold more guitars than even Martin's flagship D-28 model! More than 20 years have passed since its release, but its popularity has not diminished, and it continues to be one of Martin's top earners!

Solid Sitka spruce top, solid Indian rosewood SIDE & BACK, mahogany NECK, ebony fingerboard & bridge, scalloped bracing, 44.8mm nut, 24.9" scale auditorium body. This model has an old decal logo, open back butterbean pegs, herringbone trim, and antique toner finish for a vintage flavor!

The sound has the responsive and grainy tone characteristic of an auditorium body, combined with Martin's signature elastic tone, giving it a deep, sweet, and beautiful sound that can only be experienced on a Martin guitar! The scalloped bracing also gives the guitar an excellent breadth of sound, and many people consider this model to be a vintage spec 000-28. When played with a flat pick, it produces a well-balanced sound that is both bright and sweet with a sense of mass, while when fingered, it produces a well-balanced sound with a nice graininess and the glossiness of a Martin's sound. You can enjoy the popular Martin sound in any situation, regardless of your playing style or genre!

The condition of the instrument has some minor scratches and signs of use that are appropriate for the age of the instrument. The body has only minor scratches that are not noticeable, so you may not notice them that much, but there is a rather noticeable scratch on the back of the neck. First of all, there is a scratch on the back of the first fret where the capo screw was over-tightened? There is also a small chip in the top coat about 7mm in diameter. There are also some minor scratches on the low frets and a 1mm ding on the back of the 4th fret where the wood is slightly dented. If you are serious about scratches on the back of the neck, it might bother you, but it doesn't seem to catch on playing, and I don't think it would bother you that much. The body has a few small scratches and picking marks on the top, and there are some scratches on the body back that look like buckle scratches, but most of the scratches are shallow enough that you can only notice them when you look at them in the reflected light, There are some minor scratches overall, but they are never noticeable. Overall, there are some minor scratches, so it is not an extremely beautiful instrument, but I think it has a dignified appearance that has been used to a certain extent.

The neck condition is good and straight, and the current string height is about 2.5mm on the 6th string side and 1.7mm on the 1st string side at the 12th fret, which is a very easy setting to play. There is a little more room in the saddle, so further fine tuning of string height is possible. The frets are a little worn on the low frets, but even at the lowest point there is about 80% of the original height remaining.

The case comes with the original hard case, but the handle has been replaced.
