Power Amplifier Distortion

Acapulco Gold is an effect pedal that can reproduce the power tube distortion of stoner rock and loud bands of the 70's, as represented by the tube amps of the 70's when the volume is turned up. The discrete circuitry allows it to produce the low, rumbling bass and rich harmonics of vintage stack amps, regardless of the type of amp, be it solid state, tube, or amp. As you can see, there is only one control, the "Big Knob"! This knob controls the volume of the effector. Turning the knob to the left will reduce the amount of gain and slightly lessen the compression. Turning the knob clockwise increases volume, gain, and sustain. Acapulco Gold is sensitive to the volume of your instrument. Basically, the big knob does not change the amount of gain, so you can use it like a gain control by turning down the volume of your instrument to reduce the amount of distortion.

Big Knob - adjusts the volume of the Acapulco Gold. Note: The maximum volume is quite loud and may damage the speakers of your amplifier.

・Power supply

Acapulco Gold is powered by a 9V DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative center adapter. We do not recommend the use of daisy-chain or non-transformer power adapters as they may cause noise. Do not use a power supply that outputs more than 9V!

No sound is output without power supply because of the electronic relay system true bypass.
