The Encryptid is a fully analog bitcrusher effect that may or may not exist. A sample and hold circuit converts your input signal into steps, replicating the sound of lo-fi digital audio and adding a bit of mystery to your music. The "sample rate" can be adjusted with the "freq" knob or with an expression pedal, while the "char" knob controls the dry/wet blend. There are also controls for tone and volume. The Encryptid was meticulously designed to minimize oscillator whine, making it far less noisy than other analog bitcrusher circuits.
