What is a "Stinger" bumper?

A Stinger bumper is a common style for hardcore Off-Roaders, the stinger is the large pointed loop protruding from the bumper at an angle. The angle of the stinger should match the approach angle of your truck, this prevents forwards rollovers when descending steep drops. The tip of the stinger should be above the hood line, that way if you roll over your truck will rest on the stinger and the roof, keeping the radiator safe so you can drive off the trail. The radiator part might not apply to RC, but it looks cool!

3 styles - 

Super Stinger - Crazy & Cool looking! tip of the stinger sits well above the hood, my personal favorite!

Stinger - Same as the Super Stinger, just not as long, top of the stinger is only a millimeter or two above the hood.

Flat Bar - No pointed stinger, just a single tube to protect the grille. Most people like this one best!
