The SA-ETH Ethernet Interface Card is a small analog Ethernet port card that can be installed on the plastic assembly of an Edwards fire alarm control panel. The card provides a standard 10/100 Base-T Ethernet network connection for connecting to a local network. It can be used for uploading and downloading panel configuration, history, and current status to a PC running the configuration utility or connect to a compatible central monitoring station receiver over a network.

The Ethernet card is installed on the plastic assembly and connects to the main circuit board via a ribbon cable. The card must be configured through programming for proper operation. The installation process involves powering down the panel and disconnecting the batteries, locating the card slot on the plastic assembly behind the main circuit board and connector J1 on the main circuit board (at the top-right of the main board), sliding the card into the slot on the plastic assembly, attaching the card to the plastic assembly using two #6 plastite screws, connecting the ribbon cable from the card to connector J1 on the main circuit board, connecting the network cable, and finally powering up the panel and connecting the batteries.

The SA-ETH Ethernet Interface Card is compatible with several DACRs such as Osborne-Hoffman OH2000 and OH2000E (with an OH-TCP/IP-LC card installed) that support Contact ID. The Ethernet card has four LEDs that indicate card and network status: Link, Speed, Duplex, and Collision.
