Up For Your Consideration Is A Very Nice Holton French Horn!!!!

Before any work was completed on this horn, the horn was played and the valves were evaluated along with the sound of the horn. THIS HORN WAS A PLAYER! So we decided to do some work to the horn and bring it back to life! The lacquer was stripped and the horn was given a "very light" brushed finish. There is still a lot of Nickel Silver left on this horn. Take a look at the Holton engraving on the bell and you will see what I mean when I say "very light" brushed finish. The bell was cut and the horn was given a new Alexander ring set. There are some dings, dents, battle scars, and other signs of character on this horn. The most notable dents being on bell and some of the tubing. I took many close up photos to try to capture the true character of this horn. Please check out the pictures for further clarification of condition. The horn was inspected and all of the braces are secure, the tuning slides and valve caps move freely, and the valves are fast and responsive with good compression. The valves are tight and only have a little up and down play. THIS HORN SOUNDS MARVELOUS! The horn does come with a Fixed Bell case that has 2 functioning latches. The case is rough. Get yourself a fixed bell case and you will have one happy student! Serial number posted for your review. Don't hesitate to long on this one, my Holton 179's do not last very long!
