Beautiful modern-style Nichiren butsudan.

Made from medium density fibreboard, with a rosewood veneer finish.

Inside, a serene gold backdrop frames the silk brocade mounted Nichiren Gononzon. There is a small pull-out ledge, where you can place butsugu items (it is not recommended to place candles inside). A small storage drawer provides convenient and neat storage for nenju, incense, prayer books. There is a hook provided for hanging the Gononzon.

Despite its compact footprint, it is remarkably sturdy (I tired to wobble it!).

Very understated and unassuming when the doors are closed, it has a great impact when the doors are open. Its simple design would blend in with most decor.

Soka Gakkai/SGI can also use this butsudan - you just need to replace the Gononzon scroll with your own.

Condition: NEW/unused. However, for full disclosure, this was used as a display model at a trade fair. So, not 100% “new in box” but in very good “almost new” condition. Comes with original box.
