Beautiful harder to find Orbit line Coffee pot / coffee server in the lighter Vista Blue color. This is the lighter blue color (we have the darker tropical blue color coffee pot as well in the store as well as other colors - see all of our listings in the store link below!)
The
Orbit line consists of flatware from Brittany or Rhythm (depending on
the treatment) and specially made hollow-ware. These hollow pieces,
coffeepot, shakers, teacup, sugar, creamer, and
sauceboat fast stand were modeled in November and December of 1962. The
covered butter was modeled in February of '63 and he line was put into
production soon after.
Orbit is a unique shape in HLC's catalog. The pronounced cylindrical
bodies and oddly shaped handles combine to make a unique design. Even
the shaker are atypical with their slender and tall appearance. Most
of the obit pieces are not hard to find. The coffeepot and sauceboat
stand are the only two standard items which pose any type of challenge.
Orbit was one of the first lines designed by Vincet Broomhall who became Art Director at HLC in October of 1962.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Appears to have little to now wear or use marks. Glaze is shiny and bright Knob is not perfectly straight across, common with these finials from factory production. Near minty! Perfect for this harder to find piece in this good of condition!
