ROYAL DOULTON “THE BRIDESMAID” ARTISTS SAMPLE - HN2874.

 

Offered for sale is this charming Royal Doulton figure called “The Bridesmaid”, designed by M. Davies.

 

It is an Artists Sample painted in a yellow dress with pink sleeves and bonnet, whereas the version which was issued has a white dress with a gold trim.

 

The figure is approx. 5.5 inches tall and is offered for sale in very good condition with no chips or cracks.

 

It is fully marked on the base with the Royal Doulton stamp and the words "Artists Sample" on the base which indicates that it is a prototype / trial colourway. The reference number is HN2874.
