The culmination of more than 50 years of travel and photojournalism, the book Méditerranée, by renowned French photographer Raymond Depardon, brings together old and new photographs of the Mediterranean region from the 1960s to the present day. From Alexandria to Beirut, via his beloved southern France, Greece, Palestine, Turkey, Italy, Spain and Corsica, Raymond Depardon once again takes an acute, subjective look at this multifaceted region of the world. Always at grips with reality, the photographer's unpretentious images establish a transparent relationship with reality. The cities of the Mediterranean are changing before our very eyes, and Raymond Depardon is a privileged witness to this, notably in his series on Beirut, photographed carefree in 1965, then in dire straits 13 years later during the civil war, and finally immortalized in 1991 just before reconstruction.

The book is used but in a very good condition. Beautiful photographs and hard to find.
