HELOX: PROTECTION FROM THE WIND AND RAIN
Helly Hansen introduced Helox in 1949 by sewing a thin sheet of
translucent PVC plastic into coats to make them waterproof. This
revolutionary technology became the must-have protection for outdoor
use, with immediate success the technology was used by the Norwegian
delegation at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki.
Today,
Helox products are made with a PVC free material while still retaining
many classic and stylish silhouettes. Helox+ fabric is 100% waterproof,
featuring a full stretch construction for unrestricted movement paired
with a soft interior fabric for complete comfort (although the fabric is
not breathable, it will keep you protected in the worst conditions
possible). The Helox+ fabric is now made out of a durable and flexible
PVC free material and comes with a color-matched PU repair kit, in the
Norwegian tradition of repairing your gear to ensure it has the longest
life possible.
