It was an instrument designed for use in anticoagulant therapy by medical doctors and technicians. It was used to determine "prothrombin time", the period re- quired for coagulation to occur after a patient's whole blood was mixed with a specially prepared reagent. The prothrombin time indicated how much anti- coagulant medication was in the patient's blood. This data was used by the doctor for prescribing additional treatment.

It is from the 1960's its in very excellent condition for its age when plugged in it does power up and do some type of number movement..
