This Novocentenary Sword is one of a single worldwide edition of only 500 officially issued to commemorate the 900th anniversary за Her Majesty's Tower of London 1978.

The sword is of traditional dress sword of Yeoman Wardens of the Tower design. Double-edged unsharpened straight blade is of the finest steel tapering to a fine spear point, hardened, tempered and polished. The obverse face of the blade is crisply engraved / acid etched  "Her Majesty’s Tower of London Novocentenary 1078 – 1978". The ricasso is marked by the Royal Coat of Arms and the Wilkinson Sword logo, reading "By Appointment / to Her Majesty / Queen / Elizabeth II / Sword Cutlers / Wilkinson Sword (logo) / Made / In England". The blade features an exquisite mirror-bright finish on both faces and etched design of flowering roses, 22ct gold plated hilt with crown-shaped pommel and oval sterling silver commemorative enamel medallion on the guard, wire bound leather covered grip.

Masterfully crafted by England's finest cutlers, this splendid piece is a marvelous sword in its own right and not to be missed.

Materials: steel, bronze, gold and silver plating, vitreous enamelling. Made by Wilkinson Sword Limited, London. Since this is a display sword, there is no scabbard. Good condition overall.
