This JABO run called "Dave's Fall Classic" has some very interesting history. Besides being a small boutique run of marbles, it contains expensive Kugler striking glass as well as
exotic additives including different hues of aventurine, confetti and gold lutz. As a group, these marbles are very rare.
Many of these are now impossible to find. In fact, the sprinkles were only made in a hand full of quantities. Many of these
particular specimens have flaws due to rareness and
inherent production conditions.
This happens to be that one of those marbles from this run that is in mint condition and has 3 or m4 separate gold chains. The golden swirls of colored glass make it a bit difficult to see the gold chains, but once the marble is in your hand you will see them clearly. The gold chains are closely adjacent to the brown almond colored swirls and so the pictures are having trouble differentiating them clearly. Trust me, these gold chains are all there in their glory. If you don't have a marble with gold chains, this is a good one to start within your collection.
I rotate my marbles to give a complete 360 degree view of the sphere. I use a Canon Rebel DSLR high resolution camera with built-in flash to see all details. This marble was made on the 3/4" marble machine and it measures 0.682" in diameter with a pair of electronic calipers. Note: this marble is slightly smaller than many of the marbles that roll off the 3/4" machines. It is much bigger than a peewee, of course, but I would rather disclose this upfront than have any buyer be surprised later.
