WWII US Tinned Steel Fork stamped U.S. w cut out hole unpolished each E025 These are the real thing. U.S. stamped tin coated Forks. They have rust, dirt and grime on them. The forks are made of steel in WWII they coated them with tin. As time goes on the tin starts to peel off. Now you can remove it and re tin or leave them as is. I am leaving it up to you. They have not been washed. Now I have restored plenty of forks and there are several ways. Brass wire brush, wire wheel, ultra fine sand paper, rust removal spray, soak for 2 days in white vinegar scrub off all of these methods get the rust off and polish them up. But my dilema was simple if I restore them someone will be upset, and I will have to charge more for them. If I don't restore them someone will be upset, but I can charge less. Besides it's fun to restore your own stuff. So here they are have fun and enjoy. Selling each as is pictures: first 4 pictures of some sample forks front and back average condition. most have a little rust spot here and there that can be hit with a wire brush brass brush is more gentle steel brush is harder. The spot will come off. They are surface spots not pitted. then the pile of all of them. then two forks before and after I hit them with a simple wire brush and green teflon sponge to clean them off. not bad for a two minute scrub in the sink. You can use a fine sand paper block and polish the finish off to the steel or leave it as is.USA & International Customers: Please contact me if you would like a specific type of shipping before purchase so the listing can be corrected.
