A fine copper engraved original antique map of The British Isles enhanced with early or original hand colour.

The title is displayed in an elaborate cartouche with a royal coat of arms. The map also features a compass rose and an inset map of the Orkney Islands. 

 An excellent example of this quite scarce map.

 Fine condition other than some light offsetting of the colouring, free of repairs or restoration, central fold as issued.

Approx. 9.5" x 6.5" (240mm x 160mm) map area only, with good margins beyond.

 Printed on hand laid paper which remains stable and robust, blank verso.
