The G5n analyzes the electrical circuitry and tonal characteristics of the five most popular tube amp models (MS800/ FD TWNR/UK 30A/ BG MK3/ Xtasy Blue) to deliver five types of amp modeling with true-to-life tone quality.

The acoustic characteristics of 5 cabinet types = MS4x12/ FD2x12/ UK2x12/ MK3 1x12/ BGN4x12.

In addition, simulation of two types of microphones, SM57 and MD421, is also provided.

From high-end boutique pedals used by top guitarists to ZOOM's original creative effects, this is a full lineup of effects that will add rich individuality to your guitar sound. Up to nine effects can be used simultaneously, and the order in which they are connected can be freely rearranged.

True-to-life amp and cabinet models that faithfully emulate the real thing

Amplifier models include the Marshall JCM800, Fender Twin Reverb, MESA Boogie Mk3, Bogner Ecstasy Blue Channel, and British 30W Class A Combo, all of which are favorite models of guitarists worldwide. Using a newly developed modeling algorithm, the internal circuitry of the actual model and the characteristics of individual parts such as tubes and transistors are thoroughly analyzed and reconstructed in a software program. By precisely emulating the actual operations and electrical signal changes that occur inside the amp, the software program reproduces the same tonal changes as operating the knobs and switches on the actual model.

Cabinet models are the Marshall 1960 A-type (4x12" Celestion speaker), Fender '65 Twin Reverb (2x12" Jensen speaker), MESA Boogie Mk3 cabinet (1x12" Celestion Black Shadow speaker), Bogner Ecstasy cabinet (4x12" Celestion speaker), Class A Five types of British Combo Amplifier cabinets (UK2x12 (2x12" Celestion speaker)). Advanced modeling technology using impulse response samples the acoustic characteristics produced by real speaker cabinets. The "sound" of a real cabinet is reproduced exactly as it is. When connected to a line, the mix balance between the two microphone models (Shure SM57 and Sennheiser MD421) with different characteristics can be adjusted to create an authentic sound with two microphones, just like in a professional recording studio. The G5n offers 100 preset patches combining up to 9 amps and effects so that users can immediately experience the variety of guitar sounds and potential offered by the G5n. Stompbox-like operability

Editing effects is simple and intuitive, just like a stomp box. The G5n allows you to line up up to nine effects, four of which are displayed on a stompbox unit that combines LCD, knobs and footswitches for real-time operation. The selection can be made by scrolling left or right with the footswitch.

Flexible Effects Chain

The total display on the top of the panel shows the currently used effects in order at once, making it easy to add, delete, or swap the order of connections, which is complicated with conventional multi-effects units. The auto-save function also avoids the risk of losing valuable edits. Up to 200 patches of edited effects can be saved, allowing you to instantly recall completely new effect settings at any time, as if you were replacing your entire pedal board.

Advanced Real-Time Control

Many guitarists focus on one key point: the importance of expressiveness and real-time control. The G5n is equipped with an expression pedal for smooth control of various effect parameters such as volume, wah, and pitch shift. The built-in rhythm machine's tempo, delay time, modulation rate, and other parameters can also be controlled in real time by tapping the dedicated footswitch. The final stage is equipped with an output booster that emulates the sound of a vacuum tube to give the band ensemble a "power" and "punch" that does not get lost in the band's ensemble. This allows you to create a guitar sound with more presence.

For Training and Performance

The "G5n" has 68 built-in rhythm patterns, making it ideal for guitar training and as a solo performance tool. Using the looper function, which allows you to record phrases up to 80 seconds in length, you can layer as many effects-included sounds as you like to create epic guitar orchestrations in real time with a single guitar. In addition, a chromatic tuner can be instantly activated at any time via a dedicated footswitch. When the tuner is activated, all effects can be bypassed or muted to prevent the audience from hearing any unnecessary sounds while tuning.

Input/Output

The "G5n" can be used in all situations from live performances to recording. In addition to the standard guitar input, the G5n has an auxiliary input for stereo connection of a smartphone or music player.

The dual output jacks provide two mono outputs as well as stereo output to a PA or recording mixer. A headphone jack with a mini-stereo jack is also provided for late-night private practice, allowing you to play music from the auxiliary input and practice guitar with headphones or earphones at any time. A USB port allows the G5n to be used as a USB audio interface for a PC, or to perform firmware updates on the G5n itself.

The G5n's wide range of sound variations is not limited to the standard effects and preset patches; the ZOOM G5n's dedicated Guitar Lab application for Mac and Windows allows you to add classic amp models and the latest popular effects models as they become available. All of them are available free of charge. In collaboration with top guitarists known for their skillful sound creation, a series of preset patches with exquisite settings for live performances and recordings will also be delivered. You can continue to expand your guitar sound library. You can delete effects that you rarely use and rewrite them only when necessary, so you can keep only your favorite effects in the "G5n" itself. You can also rearrange the effect patches as you wish with drag-and-drop operation.
