BOLL FIBRE GLASS MAT 450g/m2 0.5m2

BOLL Glass mat 450g 0.5m2 is a product made of glass fibre, which, combined with BOLL polyester resin, is used to easily fill gaps in the bodywork.

Fiberglass is made of water glass, thanks to its elasticity and flexibility, as well as resistance to fire and abrasion, it is used in car body repairs. The fibre combined with the resin will be used, among others, for: for repairs of car bodies, boats and caravans.

We like to use glass mat when rust has become a permanent feature of our car's bodywork. If we have an older car whose bodywork has been "eaten" by rust, the glass mat will easily fill in the gaps and help us say goodbye to the problem once and for all. Glass wool used in construction can be used as an excellent insulating material.

First, we cut the mat to the dimensions of the future patch

We remove rusty varnish using a grinder

We remove all corrosion centers and degrease the surface

We apply an anti-corrosion primer, e.g. epoxy or reactive

we press the cut piece of glass mat into the hole or place it on the damaged area

We soak the mat with resin, remembering to be precise because it hardens quickly

After drying, the mat should be sanded and slightly matt

Apply a primer that will fill invisible gaps

Before painting, the primer should also be matt and sanded to make the surface as smooth as possible

Finally, we paint the patched area with paint
