This recent estate find is a TUTTLE STERLING SILVER RICHELIEU Pattern Large Serving Spoon. Handle is stamped "TUTTLE STERLING" along with their tree and crescent moon marks. Crescent moon mark contains initials "C C" which dates the piece to Calvin Coolidge's presidency 1923-1929. During Coolidge's presidency Tuttle began stamping their pieces with the incumbent president's initials inside a crescent moon mark. Spoon has a fluted bowl that is not stamped and is likely stainless steel. Spoon is in Excellent overall condition for use and age with some expected use wear including two very small marks on the handle (see picture 10). Spoon is 10"L and weighs 142 grams.
