Large indenture, document dated 1855. Made between George Robertson of West Smithfield in the City of London, gentleman and Lewis Hall of Edward Street, Limehouse Fields, Middlesex, builder. Mentions lease made 1798 between Samuel Steers of Little Chapman Street, builder and Peter Cooper of Benfields Gardens, also in the parish of St George in The East, mariner. The document refers to a tenement dwellinghouse on the west side of Ann Street. Lovely document with lots of information.
Have just looked at an old map online and Ann Street is (or was) between Upper and Lower Chapman Street. It is close to Martha Street and Watney Street that I can see on google maps.
