These Red Cedar slabs are rare because of their size and they hold that deep red color.

It is a fantastic highly desirable Red Cedar rustic log slab.

How cut

This slice has Been cut on a bandsaw mill. Sawmill cut finish only and may have some rustic saw marks. There is no extra sanding, planning..

These are beautiful rustic pieces unfinished and some occasional frayed edges.
The natural "live edges" are mostly smooth with branches that flare out from the trunk. 

Drying

These cedar logs sat for about 4 months before milling into slabs. They have only been saw mill cut, not planed or sanded.

PLEASE NOTE AS WITH NATURALLY MILLED WOOD-CHECKS, CRACKS, AND SPLITS THAT ARE NOT PRESENT AT THIS TIME MAY BECOME PRESENT IN THE FUTURE. THIS ADDS TO THE BEAUTY AND CHARACTER OF SLABS.

Checking or cracking occurs as wood releases moisture across the annual growth rings.
