This is a pastel sketch of a woman in believed to be from Suffolk, possibly even from Felixtowe. 

It is one of a number of pastel sketches and/or studies attributed to the Suffolk artist Janet Boreham and although the artist passed away in 2020, they have only just recently become available to purchase for the first time.  

On grey thick paper, the Kelly is depicted in vaious pastel colours in a post impressionistic style. The use of the pastel colours here to depict a woman that is by contrast clearly exhausted and dejected is intriuging an almost has influences of Warhol or Picasso(?)
