* CELEBRITY INFORMATION: MARILYN MONROE - BORN NORMA JEANE MORTENSON - June 1, 1926 – August 5, 1962 was an American actress and model. Famous for playing comedic characters, she became one of the most popular sex symbols of the 1950s and was representative of the era's attitudes towards sexuality. Although she was a top-billed actress for only a decade, her films grossed $200 million by the time of her unexpected death in 1962. * PHOTOGRAPHER INFORMATION: BRUNO BERNARD AKA BERNARD OF HOLLYWOOD - June 6, 1912 - March 10, 1987 Bruno's trade mark name was Bernard of Hollywood because he was one of the most sought after glamour photographers of Hollywood's golden era. Bruno photographed such stars as Clark Gable, Elvis Presley, Elizabeth Taylor & Marilyn Monroe. Bruno introduced Marilyn Monroe to Hollywood agent Jimmy Hyde who got her a contract with 20th Century Fox. Marilyn wrote in one of Bernard's books on photography; "Remember Bernie, everything started with you!". Bruno's best known photos of Marilyn Monroe are from the 1955 movie The Seven Year Itch. The most famous iconic movie photo ever, Marilyn's white halter dress billowing over a subway grate. Bruno became the first still photographer to be honored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
