Description

2020 Time Machine Series 1956 Stratocaster Relic Faded/Aged 2-Color Sunburst!

Fender Custom Shop was established in 1987 to produce the highest quality guitars for the Fender brand, using carefully selected materials from Fender's own lumber supply, traditional handcrafting, and advanced manufacturing techniques. The Custom Shop's lineup, including one-of-a-kind models such as the Master Builder Series, are built by a limited number of staff and are truly the finest in the world.

The tools used in the production of these guitars are the same as those used at the time of their creation. The instruments produced by our staff, who are well versed in the know-how of Fender guitars, boast superb quality and sound that will satisfy the player, and will be a reliable partner that will last a lifetime.

This particular Stratocaster is a reproduction of the 1956 version, which was slightly tweaked and modified after the Stratocaster's groundbreaking debut in 1954 to firmly establish its position as the greatest electric guitar of all time. We have just received this item in recommended good quality pre-owned condition! The date is 10/30/2019, so it was made in 2019, but it was made as part of the 2020 Time Machine Series!

The body is made of carefully selected 2-piece alder, and the neck is made of 1-piece rifled maple, a symbolic specification of the 50s. The neck grip is finished in 11/56 Off Center V-shape with the center slightly on the 1st string side, a narrow V-shape similar to the Eric Clapton model made by the Custom Shop. There is a 10/56 V-shape grip, but each of these grips is taken from a vintage model. 11/56=1956. November 1956 production.

The fingerboard radius is the standard 9.5R with a shallow finish. The frets are high Narrow/Tall #6105 frets. The neck grip, fingerboard radius, and fret size make this a very playable neck spec.

The live sound produces a bursting sound! The low to high frequencies are fully reproduced, and you will enjoy the wonderful acoustic resonance that it produces!

Hardware features a synchronized tremolo, winged string guide, vintage Cruson-type pegs, 1-ply eggshell pickguard and plastic parts. Due to the nature of the material, the pickguard may be slightly lifted from new. Please understand this in advance. However, this is within the normal range for a 1-piece pickguard. It does not affect the operability.

Three hand-wound Fat '50s single coils are mounted on the pickups for great sound output. The overall sound is clear and shimmering, but has a thick low-frequency range. The dynamics of the picking nuance produces a sound rich in overtones, but also has enough sustain. The middle pickup is reverse wound with reverse polarity, which cancels hum and reduces noise during half-tone. When noise is a concern, the noise can be reduced by switching to the mix position, so it can be used well during live performances and recording.

Controls are master volume, neck and middle tone, and bridge tone specifications. The neck & middle tone and bridge tone values seem to be changed for each position, although we have not been able to confirm the values. The pickup selector uses a 5-step lever switch that can also output mixed position sounds, instead of the 3-step switch that switched each PU position when it was first released.

The body finish color is a "Faded/Aged 2-Color Sunburst" finish that reproduces fading and color burn. The paint on the neck grip has been stripped and stripped for a smooth finish. The body damage work has also been stripped, mainly along the edges, and fine weather checks have been applied to the entire body to create an austere atmosphere!

The body has been stripped of paint mainly around the edges, and the fine weather checks throughout the body give it an austere look!

The frets are a little worn at the top, but there are no problems with the current use. There are about 90% of the frets left.

The nut also has no problem for the current use. The truss rod has no problem for normal adjustment.

The weight is about 3.39kg. The balance is easy to use, yet produces a core sound.

There is a 1.3cm crack around the screw hole under the back panel. This does not affect the current use of the instrument.

Comes with tweed hard case, certificate, spec sheet, arm, bridge cover, keys, strap, and strap.
