Our audio/video media process:

Cassettes are checked to ensure the pressure pad is in place and it is replaced if not. Cassettes are test played and rewound to the beginning of side A. Cases are checked for damage and replaced if excessive cracks are found. Cassettes will always ship in protective cardboard, whether a single cassette or a bundle.

Vinyl records are checked for obvious groove damage and rejected if found. Records are cleaned on both sides. All vinyl records ship in a cardboard mailer that is specifically designed to protect them. 

On 7" records, if the paper sleeve is damaged, it is replaced with a brand new archival paper sleeve. All 7" records with picture sleeves will ship in a protective plastic outer sleeve. If the original picture sleeve is damaged it will be included, but the record will also include a new archival paper sleeve. 

Compact Discs are checked for scratches and test-played to load track 1. CDs that fail are rejected. CD jewel case is checked and replaced if there are broken hinges or significant cracks, unless the case is unique to that album such as a gatefold box or custom jewel case. All noteworthy damage will be disclosed in the photos and Condition Description. Compact Discs will always ship at minimum with a protective layer of cardboard/chipboard wrapped around them. 

Video tapes and disc-based videos (DVD/Bluray) under $20 are shipped in a padded envelope. Valuable or sealed video media will be shipped in a box or with a protective cardboard cover.
